we own the sky

been lagging a lot on posting here because i haven't been too active in drawing much lately. things have been busy on the home front. getting ready to move, so we've been packing and getting rid of stuff and trying to sell things. so much work to do. but i'm looking forward to being back in nyc and i think it will motivate me more to keep up with the art work. i've also been trying to get some trick practicing in so here's a video of day two of practicing trackstand to barspins and backward circles.

tricktrack

it's a snowy day and i called off work today. spent the day working on some stuff for TrickTrack. I've been trying to work on some illustration/logo stuff for the new official site that's going to be launching soon. i'm really stoked on this site because it's the beginnings of the whole freestyle trick riding community of kids on track bikes. it's awesome to see kids pushing the limits of what they can do on track bikes and it's also really inspiring and pushes myself to want to be at that level of riding, you know?

Losing Shape and Growing Past Knowledge

Haven't posted in a while but have been trying to keep busy with drawing projects. I have an art zine project that I'm working on currently and maybe I'll put a few sneek peeks up later. I'm turning 27 in four days and looking forward to what year 27 has to offer. Damn! I'm getting old.

I'm looking for any type of freelance illustration/design work so let me know if you know of anyone that needs that type of work done. The economy sucks and everyone's broke, including me.

Here are a few illustrations that I just finished. They're all done on Canson Illustration paper with ink and 2 are available for purchase if you like 'em! $40 each.

"Farewell" - Drew this for my friend Danielle.

"Growing Past Knowledge" - 11"x5 1/2" $40

"Losing Shape" - 11"x6" $40

Custom Handmade Cycling Caps

I'm currently making some custom handmade cycling caps, so if you are in the market for one, please consider buying from me!

All cycling caps are fitted - no elastic bands on the back, because I've found that regular every day use tends to stretch the bands and they loose their elasticity. Then you're stuck with a saggy cap that doesn't sit well on your head. (But if you must have some elastic, we can work that out.)

Caps are 4 panel - but I can do half panels, extra panels, or enlarge the panels to fit your noggin!

I use heavy duck cloth, canvas, and other heavier recycled materials for the hats. I also can do some hand dying as well as some simple custom embroidery.

Hats start at $25 with shipping.

If you'd like a custom hat let me know what you're thinking and we can go from there to make head measurements, etc! The best way to contact me is via email.

*For reference, the hat pictured above is a 3 1/2 panel hat, with hand dyed splatters and some custom embroidery on the underside of the bill.
